Paul Bunker
Chiron K9
Paul Bunker is the founder and Principal of Chiron K9 LLC, a specialized canine consultancy company dedicated to detection. With over 22 years of service in the British Army as a Canine Trainer, Instructor, and Assessor, Paul has deployed on high-threat counter-terrorist operations around the globe. His tenure in the military saw him excel as the Senior Instructor and Trainer of Specialized Search Dog and Explosive Detection Dog/Handler Training for both the UK and US Military. A pivotal achievement in Paul's career was the creation and implementation of the Explosive Detection Dog Program, which necessitated the development of innovative training techniques and methodologies. In 2017, Paul founded Chiron K9 to focus on detection dog research and conservation/ environmental detection. Under his leadership, Chiron K9 has pioneered unique programs to support conservation and environmental canine detection initiatives, deploying with teams to ensure success. His contributions extend to providing canines and training support for detection research conducted by universities and government organizations. Paul's expertise is well-documented through his co-authorship of several published papers and his authorship of the book “Imprint Your Detection Dog in 15 Days.”
Debi DeShon
Dogs with Jobs & Mussel Dogs
Based on 25 years of experience, Debi DeShon founded Mussel Dogs in 2008 and expanded to Dogs with Jobs in 2017 to meet the increasing need for conservation canines. Debi is passionate about animals and our environment. Her background and experience includes:

Dan Eichberg-Levitt
K9 Commando
Dan proudly served in one of the finest branches of His Majesty’s armed forces, the Royal Marine Commandos, completing what is recognised as the hardest military training in NATO.

He has collaborated with some of the top dog trainers in the United States, refining his skills in training aggressive and reactive dogs and protection dogs. In 2022, Dan co-founded and became co-owner of K9 Commando, where he specializes in training and working with conservation detection dogs, bed bug detection dogs, and protection dogs. Dan and Kylie are currently working on a hedgehog conservation project in the UK with K9 Moose. Dan holds a NASDU General Purpose Level 2 lifetime certificate. K9 Commando also offers private and group dog training as part of its services.
Lauralea Oliver
K9inSCENTive
Lauralea is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer, Ecological Detection Dog Trainer and Handler and an International Speaker on canine scent work and scent detection dogs. Through the National Association of Canine Nose Work she is a Certified Nose Work Instructor®, Trial Judge and Certifying Official. Lauralea has made a career working of with dogs which began in 2000. Her years of experience include working with dogs in many environments and disciplines including shelter and rescue dogs, working dogs, sporting dogs and companion dogs.
Lauralea is the owner and operator of k9inSCENTive, LLC where the focus is on providing ecological scent detection dog training and ecological scent detection dog team services and ecological scent detection handler training. Through the business, Lauralea offers working dog evaluations, as well as dog behavior and training consultations for working scent detection and scent sport dogs.
Lauralea is deeply involved with the National Association of Canine Nose Work (NACSW®). She has been a Certified Nose Work Instructor (CNWI) since 2005. She is an active competitor in the sport with her personal dogs earning several titles over the years including Elite 3 and High In Trial placement awards. She has been a NACSW Trial Judge since 2014 and a Certifying Official since 2019. Through her partnership in ScentWork.org, Lauralea offers private and group scent work training and coaching for sport dog beginners all the way to NACSW Summit and AKC Detective levels.
As a professional handler, Lauralea works her personally owned ecological scent detection dogs on multiple species including avian and bat fatality detection dogs. Her work includes projects training scent dogs to detect and survey for a wide variety of targets; California tiger salamanders, giant garter snakes, San Francisco garter snakes, western pond turtles and their nests, and San Joaquin kit fox scat. Much of her recent work includes botanical targets including some of Arizona’s most rare plants; Pima pineapple cactus, Spiranthes orchids and multiple Pediocactus species. On the mycology front, her years of work training dogs to detect pathogenic Phytophthora fungi in native nursery plants in partnership with UC Berkeley’s Garbelotto Lab, is now being replicated in the UK. She contracts and partners with many different agencies and private clients including National Parks Service, US Fish and Wildlife, US Forest Service, USGS, private zoos, and botanical gardens in California and Arizona.
Kylie Eichberg-Levitt
K9 Commando
Kylie Eichberg-Levitt is a conservation biologist and ecologist with a BSc in Conservation Biology from the University of Plymouth and an MA in Anthrozoology from the University of Exeter.

With over 10 years of experience in training both exotic and domestic animals in the motion picture industry and working with dogs in private training, Kylie has developed extensive expertise in animal care, training, and animal behavior.

In 2022, Kylie co-founded K9 Commando, where she serves as co-owner and director. She specializes in training and working with conservation detection dogs, bed bug detection dogs, and protection dogs.
